Once again, pupils took part in Multi - cultural week. Pupils are issued with their own Blackpool School passport when they enter Reception. This is stamped with a visa stamp each year as they visit a different continent until by Year 6 they have travelled right around the world. Visiting artists enhance the many varied activities put on by class teachers. This year Reception travelled throughout the UK, Unit 1 travelled to India and Unit 2 and 3 explored the continents of South and North America.
The School is fortunate to have the support of local charity for the arts, The Helen Foundation, enabling 2 artists to be engaged through Daisi. Unit 2 worked with artist James Lake, exploring patterns, designs and symbols from South America. While Unit 1, learnt Indian dance thanks to dance teacher Kay Crook.
