Year 5 Enjoy Inspiring Percussion and Rhythm Workshop

On Friday, 6th June, Year 5 pupils at Blackpool Church of England Primary School took part in an exciting Percussion and Rhythm workshop, delivered by arts education organisation Daisi and generously supported by The Helen Foundation.

The workshop gave pupils the chance to explore a wide range of percussion instruments while learning about rhythm, teamwork, and musical creativity. Led by experienced Daisi practitioners, the session was lively and interactive, encouraging pupils to express themselves through collaborative music-making.

Headteacher, Russell Pearson said:
"It was fantastic to see our pupils so engaged and enthusiastic about music. Opportunities like this are invaluable in enriching our curriculum and inspiring young minds."

The event was part of the school’s ongoing commitment to offering enriching, creative learning experiences. Thanks to funding from The Helen Foundation, all pupils were able to take part in the workshop, making it an inclusive opportunity for everyone.

Daisi’s workshops aim to make the arts fun, accessible, and relevant to young people. Judging by the energy and enthusiasm on the day, this session certainly hit the right note.
