PTA - FABS

FABS (Friends in Association with Blackpool School) is the parent teacher association (PTA) for Blackpool School.

FABS is run by the parents and members of staff at Blackpool School to benefit all Blackpool School pupils.  FABS organise and run events throughout the year to raise money in a fun and varied way.
 

FABS raises money through a variety of events and activities such as:
•    the annual summer Country Fayre
•    discos for the children
•    annual firework display
•    sponsored fun runs and walks
•    kids own Christmas cards
 

Funds raised by FABS are intended to provide ‘extras’ not already provided by the school's main income – resources and events that make the school experience more interesting and exciting for the children.  

Previous items bought by FABS have included Fizz-books (mini tablet-PCs), playground equipment and structures, interactive white boards within the school, funding events such as the Christmas parties, donations towards the Christmas market items and the Year 6 leavers’ trips to Crealy.

FABS is open to all and welcomes every parent/carer/friend of Blackpool School to join them to help raise funds for children at Blackpool School.  FABS doesn’t look for a big commitment. Support can range from just half an hour to a couple of hours to help with tasks for the FABS events.  Please  email blackpoolfriends@gmail.com or visit the school office to leave a message for FABS.
