No Outsiders

No Outsiders

Schools are expected to prepare ‘pupils positively for life in modern Britain’ and promote ‘the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith.’

Our intent.

At Blackpool Primary School, we aim to actively promote the British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs in a variety of ways across out curriculum.  Our aim is to nurture our children on their journey through life so they can grow into safe, caring, democratic, responsible, respectful and tolerant adults who make a positive difference to British society and to the World. We encourage our children to be creative, unique, open-minded and independent individuals, respectful of themselves and of others in our school, our local community and the wider world.  We want all people, regardless of race, religion, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation feels welcome and accepted in our school. As a Church of England school, we reinforce the message of Genesis 1:27;

“All are made in the image of God and are loved by God.  Through the example of Jesus all are called to live embodied, fulfilled human lives”
